The ad said these worked with the PC , Mac and Xbox 360. When I got them and cut the plastic packaging away to get the headset out I plugged them into my PC and nothing. No matter what configuration I put my Sound blaster titanium sound card in I couldnt get this headset to work. and Since it comes in such secure packaging theres no way to return them once openned.

Just plugging this in is fantastic. I've never had interest in using or wanting to have a headset for a console but this was just worth it. The cords are LONG. You have something like 16-18 feet of cord.
I use my system with HDMI and just used the original composite cables that came with my system in conjunction with it(instead of an adapter which apparently isn't sold now and hard to find and the shoddy third party ones have issues). Just plugged the RCA adapters onto it and let them hang and it sends the sound to the headset just fine.
As for everything else. The headset construction is sturdy, it doesn't feel cheap at all. At the same time I find it extremely comfortable. I can wear these for hours on end and not even notice they're on my head. The sound is rich, it added a whole different dimension to me. Things I noticed:
- The entire setup is very thoughtful. It comes with more adapters and instructional sheets than I actually had a use for, but the initially confusing stuff worked great when I actually tried it.
- The in-line adapter was somewhat awkward to clip to my shirt, but I honsetly can't
- The cables are loooong. At first I was a bit baffled, then everything made a lot more sense when I tried to plug it into my 360 - it's long enough to sit on my couch and reach if need be.
- The headset is SOLID. I was coming from a couple of Icemat/Steelseries Siberias (which I actually like as headsets) that have been getting chain-replaced under warranty, as they simply fell apart after a year or two of use. This feels like an heirloom that I'll be able to pass to my grandkids.
