I am very satisfied with them. I did a lot of research before making this purchase and I had a few things in mind when searching:
1. I wanted quality headphones that could handle music, movies, and games.
2. I wanted Active Noise Cancelling for use on an airplane or anywhere noisy.
3. I wanted a microphone for video chatting, gaming, or use with my cellphone.
I settled on these mostly because of the reviews. The sound quality is top notch. The headphones get remarkably loud for no amplification. Although this may be due to the fact that the headphones do an excellent job blocking outside noise. These sound amazing when listening to music. Obviously when compared to Bose or Beats or other brands that amplify music, you have to turn the volume up to achieve the same loudness. When you do, the sound quality is definitely on par. very nice, November 8, 2011 This review is from: ASUS VULCAN-ANC/BLK/ALW/AS Active-Noise-Cancelling Pro Gaming Headset - Black (Electronics) i didnt buy these off amazon cause i found a cheaper price but these are by far the most comfortable headsets that i have ever worn. i do alot of gamimg and the mic is good on vent and when you have music or sound on you dont even really need the anc much. the one flaw is that you need a battery for anc and it isnt really that good because you lose alot of bass if youre a sound junkie like me. but overall i would recommend these to any gamer that wants a headset they could wear for hours while being comfortable.

Coupled with the Asus Xonar DG sound card with a built in headphone amp, these headsets come alive on my desktop. Mids and highs sound excellent to me while the bass booms without being overly muddy after tuning some settings. The bass can be powerful to the point where I feel the headphones shake on my head; although lows are also adequate at low volumes. While they don't sound nearly as good without the amp, they are a bit above average simply on my phone or tablet. I would not be anywhere near as satisfied without the amp.
I spend a lot of time listening to music with these headphones and am very happy with the experience. Gaming and movies are spectacular with these sets. They deliver a "big", "warm" sound while large enough to cover my entire ears. The active noise cancellation does dull the sound although there have been plenty of... Read more
